I bought a pair of EMU Hip boots that tie last year on sale and loved them! Very reasonably priced, comfy and stylish. So when the Hip Button Boot came on sale this year I did not hesitate to purchase a pair in different color. I assumed that the ties that go around to secure the boot were elastic. I thought wrong. The foot part fit fine but I could not get them buttoned around my calves. They were WAY to narrow. I am average build size 10 in misses. I am athletic so giving benefit of the doubt thought ok these don't work for me but my teenage daughter who wears the same size shoe as me who is a Junior size 5-7 maybe able to wear them. NOPE too narrow for her to strap around and button as well. Once I could see they were too narrow even for her to button around her calf I knew these are unusually narrow. I had to send them back. If you have super skinny calves then these are cute and reasonable priced, but won't work for the average size person around the calves. I would suggest to the manufacturer to make the strap elastic and it would work for many.

<br />Put them on twice and the lace broke. Poor workmanship.

Way too big, if you wear half sizes, order the smaller one down. Amazon would not offer an exchange for the smaller size. They will tell you to send it back for a refund then re-order the right size but pay the current price that is listed. There was NO warning or suggestion to the customer to order the smaller size cuz the boots run way too big.

Boots arrived defective. I sold them to a friend for a discounted price rather than put up with the hassel of returning them.
