I rarely write reviews, but when I was researching this product (actualy the BearPaw 410 10″ Eva Boots, identical to these minus the extra two inches) the reviews are what helped me make my decision. I thought I’d give others an extra insight and perspective.

I was actually planning to buy the 10″ boots, but saw that the 12″ boots were the exact same price. So I thought, hey.. I’ll get more bang for my buck (in this case, 2 inches!) and bought the 12″ instead.

First, I want to comment on the sizing. I followed Amazon’s general shoe size chart for women’s and even measured one of my shoes that fit me perfectly. My shoe sizes sometimes vary, but I busted out a ruler to be exact. I was a size 9 according to the chart. The shoes I was measuring from was also a 9. BearPaw and many reviewers suggested getting one size up from your regular show size so I ordered a size 10. In my case, that didn’t work well for me.

Overall, these boots are great material and quality. I really don’t have any bad things to say about them. They’re extremely comfy… they feel like house slippers and are way cheaper than Uggs! So the only issue I have with them is more of a personal issue.

You see, I’ve got big calves. They aren’t fat… but really solid… full of muscle. Whenever I try to do cardio, the only area that seems to get toned is my calves. Such a curse. (BTW, I measure at 17″ all the way around my mid-calf). Anyhow, these boots were very tight at the edge. It was like a really tight rubberband around my calf an I’d normally deal with stuff like that, but it was very uncomfortable. On the other hand, the shoes were too big for my feet by at least an inch to an inch and a half.

It’s kind of awkward to wear, but I think I’ll deal with these issues. I can always wear thicker socks, so it’s better slightly too big than slightly too small. I’m actually folding down the extra “2 inches” which makes the boots less uncomfortable, but I’m hoping that the material will stretch over time to accomodate my enlarged calf and possible my jeans. It’s also too tight to squeeze jeans into.

If the boot fit perfectly, I’d totally give it 5 stars. It may be a little unfair to dock it a star since everyone’s shoe size and calf size can vary widely, but I think the company should offer boots with an extended calf (most other brands do for boots). This way, girls with big calves or girls who want to tuck in their jeans (or both!) have the room to do so.

i got these, read reviews, still find them comfy and cozy and just had them for a trip to colorado where i tromped about in the snow in them.

aside from the fact thaat they need to be sealed against the wet, they were fabulous for that day, and even surprised me in how they maintained great footing in the snow. apparently the new snow tires are also made of ’soft rubber’ and that was fabulous as we hiked up rocks which my friends in their proper snow gear found very slippery, i felt like a gazelle.

I just bought a pair of these 10″ Dream 405 style from shoe pavilion today for .99. I think they are so great and comfortable! I tried on the 160 Uggs ultra short earlier in the day, which looks almost the same, and guess what? BearPaw Dream is even more comfortable than Uggs’ ultra short since ultra short feels a little too tight. Uggs’ classic short (0) is still the most comfortable tho, but its style, which is more rounded and doesn’t have a 2nd line around the edges, is a little outta date.

These BearPaw Dreams serve as a great alternative to the new Uggs ultra short. Its shaft is a little taller than Uggs as well, which I think is smart because then it looks better with pants tugged in.

Caution: if you wear 1/2 sizes, go one size up. Don’t expect these comfortable shoes to have bigger rooms inside. I used to wear 6 or 6.5.. but I have to return a pair and get a 7.

After wondering whether or not I could afford to buy a pair of Uggs for my lady friend, I researched Amazon and found Bearpaw’s. Half the price and better quality than the Uggs. They look great, fit her like a glove and didn’t hurt me in the wallet. I would have to say save your money and go for the honey! Great service,great product. The difference is in the fact that the BP’s are more ruggedly made to withstand the rigors of city living, giving you the more bang for your buck. The stitching,heavier sole and and true to size fitting are consistant with this product and others that I have inspected.

I love these Bearpaw brand boots. They are very similar to the popular Ugg-style boots at a much better price! Bearpaw’s Eva boots are comfortable and warm. They can be worn with or without socks. The sheepskin lining makes them feel like a slipper inside! These boots are actually available in 8″, 10″, and 12″ heights and the top edge can be rolled down to show off the furry lining.

I purchased a cheap pair of Ugg-like boots last winter after reading rave reviews all over. They lasted barely through the season, and I spent the next few months looking for something higher quality, but cheaper than Uggs. I stumbled across Bearpaws, and was very excited by the reviews, and asked for them for my birthday. My wonderful boyfriend obliged, and I fell in love with them the minute I put them on. Not only are they the ONLY footwear I’ve ever had that keep my feet warm, they’re also the most comfortable shoes/boots I’ve ever owned (and I’m a flip flops girl!). I get tons of compliments on them everywhere I go, and people always think they’re Uggs!

Love these boots! For a long time, I didn’t not like these type boots. I started looking for a pair for my niece. The uggs were way too expensive for a 14 year old. I opted for Emus for my niece. During my search I ran across these and decided to get a pair for myself. They are really cute in a ugly kind of way. *smile* I love the knit material and suede at the bottom of the boot. They are super warm as they’re lined with sheepskin. So, so comfortable.

I must say they are not like the other boots, they run true to size. I wear a 7.5. I initially purchased the 7 and they were too small. I got the 8, snug, but they fit. I imagine they will stretch a bit. I got them for 25% off too. Love them!

Although these are the cutest boots I have seen for a long time, the leather tabs that hold the bracket for the laces breaks too easily. I bought my first pair, put them on once and laced them up and the tab broke. Amazon was wonderful about the exchange, however when I received the second pair, the same thing happened again.

I had to return them both. I would not recommend these boots until they fix that problem with a new design.

Bought these boots because I didn’t want to shell out the cash for Uggs. These are the most softest & comfortable boots I have every owned – and warm for Chicago winters!

I always wipe them after I see salt building up – don’t know what will happen long term if I don’t. I did spray some protectant on it too before I wore it for the first time.

Warm, warm, warm and comfy, comfy, comfy is how I would describe this boot. The only reservation I have is that Bearpaws don’t come in half sizes (I’m a 8.5) so I got the 9 instead which I feared was a little big, it didn’t really grip my ankles. But after wearing them, they grew true to my foot and I love them! Even though I wanted this same boot in black and could not for the life of me find it in black, I’ve come to embrace these soft colors. They go with almost any color combo and they’re just so sleek and comfy and warm.. warm and comfy get em!

These boots are great for cold weather. Don’t wear them with socks and you are still warm and cozy. It’s like walking around in slippers all day but with a rugged sole that can stand icy walkways and snow drifts.

Only complaint is they do not come in half sizes so could feel a little big if you have to order the next size up.

I recently got a pair of these boot(ies). I needed warm shoes as I live in Colorado. I have owned many shoes and boots, from top of the line brands and none have kept my feet as warm and dry as these. I have had UGGS, and these are BETTER! They keep my feet warmer. I went shopping on black Friday when it was literlly 2 degrees outside with the wind whipping making it colder and the snow falling didn’t help much. I wore these boots out on that trip without socks (no need for socks with the slipper-like insides) and my feet were the only warm part of my body! It really was amazing, and I will never buy any other boot. I wear them constantly and they still look brand new. I could talk about these all night, they really are a wonderful product at an excellent price.

I will agree with the other reviewers that they are difficult to get on when they are new, but hang in there they will mold to you after a few times of taking them on and off. It is well worth the wait and trouble.

I actually was considering get Uggs and ended up finding these by accident during my internet search. THEY ARE AWESOME! I love that they are “mini” since I only wanted to wear them under pants (the look of tucking your jeans into your boot is not for me…if it’s for you…these will be too short). They are the perfect size and SO COMFY. They come up a inch or two past my ankle. I highly recommend them. GREAT PRICE. GREAT QUALITY. Mine are the dark olive green and I usually wear a 9.5 (I know I’m like big foot over here), so I got a 10. They fit great. I would recommend going the half size up not down. I’m thinking about getting them in choc now too. You won’t be disappointed!

These boots are very cute – I always get compliments on them. A few things to note, the fur lining is not throughout the boot, there’s some at the top (of course), none on the calf, but then some for cushioning for your foot. Also, although many people said they run big and you should buy a smaller size, I’d have to disagree. I originally bought them a size smaller and ended up having to return them. I find them true to standard sizes.

I spent days looking for boots and I finally settled on these with the assumption if they didn’t fit I could send back and pay a restock fee and continue to look. I am NOT sending them back =) My problem is I have always had big feet and since my pregnancies I now have wide big feet with constant ingrown toe nails that make finding comfortable shoes almost impossible. I have bought size 11 shoes before but after doing several shoe sizers it seems I am actually a 11.5 possibly even a 12. I searched everywhere for a boot that I could wear for work plus had enough grip and warmth for our Idaho weather. On top of my requirements I am due to have my 3rd child in March and so needed something comfortable and definitely secure, loved the look of heals but knew I would hate them come month 9.

I ordered a pair of these in black as they were the only ones they had in size 11. Looked around on other sites and these were by far the cheapest for my possible size. When they came I tried them on and I will admit they were extremely tight but I figured it was because the sheepskin fur inside goes all the way down the boot. When I first put them on I could not do the top 2.5″s up but I waited about 20 mins and tried again as I could see the material would stretch around my calf (which at the very top of the boot is about 16.5″, which is about 1.5″ below the thickest part of my lower leg), they did do up, it seems the fur inside just had to flatten a little. The foot area still felt quite tight but loosened off very nicely but was still snug and secure. Several people commented on a sharp/pointy part at the inside ankle which I could feel for about the first 1hr of wearing them but it just disappeared so think it is just the material and I never even got so much as a red mark on my ankle.

I walked around in them, tried pushing my feet forward as normally this is a problem for me but they were very snug. If I pushed directly down on the toe I could feel the end of the shoe but walking and sitting I am about 1/2″ away from the end. The toes are surprisingly spacey, especially for someone like me that gets aggravated toes if they get crushed. I have now worn them in the house for the last 4 hrs, have cooked dinner, cleaned up and dealt with a 3 and 2 yr old running back and forth threw the house and have not had any problems. They are super warm and so so so comfy!! The calf has already loosened up enough that I can get 4 fingers in at the top. I will mention I am wearing thing socks, which is what I planned on wearing anyway. They do feel so warm I don’t think I would need thick socks anyway.

Another pointer I like is that my feet actually look small, well small for me. Some boots at this size can look like boats if they are thin at the ankle then the long foot but these are tight enough at the ankle to stop them sliding yet look much smaller then my other shoes. They are not at all heavy or bulky but do have a large amount of grip on the bottom, I have not been stopping around like I normally do in boots like this they are very easy to move my feet around and point my toes. They are still quite tight so I do wonder if I swell later in pregnancy they might get too snug but we will have to wait and see, I think by that point they will have relaxed a little more.

the only down side I could potentially see is that the zipper is a little flimsy, I could see it had already started bending but that could have been from pulling too much before the boot had relaxed

these boots are so comfy and cute!!!!! i have 4 different pairs of boots from emus but bearpaws are an excellent choice too! im getting a pair for my sister for christmas! just make sure to wear black socks because i wore white ones and for some reason it turned them black. i guess it was the dye from the fur, but oh well. i still love them!!

These boots are warm, comfy and perfect for chilly days. Because I have owned similar styles, I know that the suede-leather stretches over time, so I actually purchased a half size smaller than I normally wear. The boots are initially snug, surrounding my feet in ultra-soft faux-shearling (but then, isn’t that comfy?) however, they will eventually stretch to where I can simply slide my foot into them without any tugging. Easy to clean … just wipe with a damp cloth. I so love wearing these that I almost dread when the weather warms. I don’t WANT to put them away for the next season!

I have one pair of Uggs and wanted another but couldn’t justify the price, so I ordered the Bearpaw 8 inch boot in chocolate and they are exactly the same as my Uggs, but even BETTER because they are half the price!!! Side by side literally everything is the same: the quality, the cuddliness and warmth of the inside lining, the support, etc. These are an amazing boot for all seasons- I like them with jean skirts in the summer/spring (they keep the feet cool) and with leggings and jeans in the winter/fall (they keep the feet warm and dry)!

I HIGHLY recommend the Bearpaw boots, especially over the Uggs anyday! Hmmm, since the price is so much lower than Uggs and I love them so much, can I justify another color?

When I bought a pair of these boots I ended up with the wrong size because they come out A LOT smaller than an Ugg Australia Classic or Ultra boot. I would advise anybody considering these boots to BUY TRUE TO SIZE NOT DOWN ONE SIZE.

As for the quality of these boots, this is my edited review after wearing them for a bit, and I have to say, maybe it’s partially my leg and foot shape, but they don’t fit half as snugly and comfortably as Ugg Australia boots. The larger size was too big for me, so I can’t actually wear any size of these boots comfortable (US7 too small US8 too big!), they may be more suited to folk with wide feet and sturdy ankles.

I am a complete Ugg Australia convert now, have two pairs and looking to buy two more. Much as I hate to jump on a bandwagon, Ugg Australia boots are something special, and these Bearpaw boots, while not badly made, feel much stiffer and not like a second skin like Ugg Australia boots – not in the same league, I’d advise to pay the extra, especially if you are of petite/skinny build.
